Green Zebra Guide.

It's a simple concept.

You get a group of eco-friendly companies together that are willing to offer their customers a deal.

It's based along the lines of the Entertainment Book that offers dining and shopping deals.

The Vancouver version of the guide contains exclusive offers from more than 250 eco-friendly retailers, restaurants and markets, fitness studios, independent bookstores, bike shops, museums and more.

And it only costs $20.

And the guide will pay for itself quickly considering the deals you get are worth a couple of thousand dollars.

But the guide is more than just about saving money.

It also contains a lot of useful everyday Living Green information that you can use and apply.

And it is great for the community.

Groups and organizations can sell the Green Zebra Guide as a fundraiser.

For every Green Zebra Guide they sell they receive $10.

All the information you need is listed on the Green Zebra Guide website.

It lists all the companies that are in the guide and there are sample pages that show you just how much you can save.

So what are you waiting for?

Where do I take this?

A question often asked, especially about recycling.

There are so many new things that can be recycled and new places to take it to.

And for every municipality in Metro Vancouver the rules and regulations can differ.

It's difficult just trying to keep up.

But now there is a source for all of us.

It's a website from Metro Vancouver.

It contains more than 1,300 locations where you can donate, recycle or dispose of those things you no longer want.

And best of all the website is comprehensive, easy to use and has all sorts of nifty features.

Here it is.

Leonardo DiCaprio.

A heartthrob, a strong actor and a strong environmentalist.

And DiCaprio is genuine.

He is not someone jumping on the Living Green bandwagon because it's good public relations.

He is doing it because he believes in it passionately.

And in DiCaprio's case actions speak louder than words.

Find out why DiCaprio is the real thing.

Musicians.

Today a lot of them are using music as a means of making us aware of how important a Living Green environment really is.

And that is a good thing.

But of course musicians have been spreading the Living Green message for decades.

So in the weeks ahead we will feature some of these early apostles of Living Green.

First up is Bob Dylan.

Give a listen, Dylan is terrific.
